Michael Omer
Show Time 8:30pm / Doors Open 7:00pm
Michael Omer has just returned from making his New York cabaret debut at The Metropolitan Room, with follow up shows at the legendary cabaret venue Don't Tell Mama. A brilliant pianist, he evokes many musical moods: from introspective noir-ish numbers (his original “No American Beauty”) to jaunty musical monologues “I Don’t Remember Names”, his lament at a party. Other song titles in his repertoire include “Mr McGee”, a specialty number about a topic familiar to us all; and Dave Frishberg’s jazzy “Blizzard of Lies” – a resounding hit at the previous Pheasantry show back in January.
