Sun-28-Mar (1:30pm):
Jim Mullen Organ Trio (Lunchtime)
Show Time 1:30pm / Door Time 12:00pm
Jim Mullen is a truly original voice in contemporary jazz guitar. His distinctive “thumb” attack on the instrument gives him a unique style and sound on the instrument which is as admired by his peers as it is by his most diehard fans (as testified to by the fact that he was named ‘Best Guitar’ at the British Jazz awards in 2000, and has also twice achieved the same accolade at the BT Jazz awards.)

Abram Wilson Quartet – Life Paintings
Show Time 8:30pm / Doors Open 7:00pm
“A definite hot ticket” – Guardian
“It’s rare to find a classy composer who’s a phenomenal trumpet player too, but Abram Wilson proves he’s both on Life Paintings. Style and attitude are his hallmarks. He crams every ounce of his experience, joyfully, into each track” – BBC Music
“Wilson’s playing hints at Louis Armstrong and Wynton Marsalis but [is] warmer, more expressive and melodically fluent” – Irish Times
“No other trumpeter in Britain plays like Wilson. Go and hear him when he’s blowing down your way” – Morning Star
